Gary Stuntz

I grew up in a boating family. My dad built a 15ft Glen-L sailboat in our garage and I’ve been hooked ever since. My racing career started at 12 years old when I began sailing El Toros. Having taught hundreds to sail, I enjoy seeing some of the first students that I instructed racing today. I am now teaching my son to sail and look forward to seeing him racing soon. I take pride in bringing teams together and developing a finely tuned crew in short time.

My personal experience with Lidgard sails started in 1990 with the boats I sailed. The company impressed me both with their product and with their professionalism. I started working for Halsey-Lidgard in 2004 in the Seattle area promoting sales and learning the craft of sailmaking. With the merger of UK, several in our loft decided to go a different direction and I started Clear Ahead Sailmakers. I am now the Pacific Northwest Agent for Lidgard Sails.

I currently own a Melges 24 and enjoy sailing One-design and PHRF locally with my wife. Here is the crew of the Melges 24, Cool Beans. I am the driver with my wife in first position.
